I have a 1956 international that has an original steering column in it and I want to put a moon steering wheel in it . Anyone know if you can get a boss kit to suit ?
What is the column end ? Splined? Size ? Key way ? Diameter? If you would like help information and pictures are always useful
You need a steering wheel adapter. Unfortunately, Internationals are not an overly common vehicle to hop-up. You might luck-out if it happens to share a spline, taper, or key with another vehicle or make.
Check here: http://travelallparts.com/ They have them for later Internationals. I would not know if they were ever changed.
Let's do a little deductive reasoning: https://travelallparts.com/IH_Steering_Wheel_restored_and_better_than_new_old_stock/p18132 Steering wheel: "This fits Scout 80, A (57-58) and B series (59-60) trucks and Travelalls. They are dark grey but if you send us your steering wheel, we can do it in any color you request." https://scoutparts.com/products/?view=product&product_id=18099 Steering wheel adapter: "Vehicles: Scout 80, Scout 800" As far as I know, the moon steering wheel uses the common 3-bolt adapter that most aftermarket wheels use. So there's your answer: $39.95 USD, ~$51.40 AUD.
