  6. I bet you guys walk into the kitchen right in the middle of dinner preparation and ask why the place is such a mess.
Let him finish the whole package.

besides, maybe you’re supposed to be on the “you can’t do that” thread.

Lol ! I'm enjoying the feedback. It's fine to see all the different opinions.

Yeah I definitely want some smaller touches here and there that say " he didnt just bought that out of a catalog and bolt it on".

I like some of the things that kinda just take you by surprise once you notice them.

I also think once all of its painted black it will blend in more and less people will actually notice it.

Oh btw, one of my other old thoughts when I first started the bar was to run a grille with a heavier center bar and kind of run the lower center of the grille down to kind of match it but I always come back to the bottom edge of the shell not fitting my idea.

I'm going to play with it I think and maybe cut/section the lower section of the shell, straight down on each side of the front radiator opening and moving it straight up about 1-1/2 to 2". Then pointing the lower shell more to a point.

Again its hard to put the pic in my head in words... Need one of them police sketch artist !!

  12. the whole shell doesn't have to come to a point. delete the crank hole cover and make just the reveal around the crank hole come to a point.

And after that you would have to do something to the top of the grill shell to make it work with the bottom. And..... But I don't think it is all that hateful. How about if, rather than shorten the shell, you leave the bottom of the opening in the shell straight across and curve the bottom lip horizontally forward to a point just enough to visually compliment your spreader bar.

    Like Vicky said.
If the grill comes to a point or same contours it’ll look killer.

ya might need a rubber snub on the point to save you shins from cuts!

but I like the look so far.

Very cool. As said before, I would mess with the grille shell to make it match a bit more.

Thanks for the opinions and suggestions guys.

31vicky you nailed the grille idea. If I could come up with a pattern like that and get the dimensions to fit my shell I think that would do it.

Maybe take the sides of the lower edge of the opening up about 1-1/2" then start taking the center down to a point and ending say right in the crank hole?

    What say ye?

I dig it. Something a little different is a good thing. We have all seen what everyone else does.

  25. I like it, nice work. I would definitely be hitting my ankle or leg on it. Hell, I have already tripped on my wheelie bars and damn near crashed myself.:mad::)

You did really good work on it. It looks symmetrical and centered.

Having said that, you asked for opinions, I don't care for it.

  27. Todays "New and Different" looks almost never look better than "Traditional". Straight with Black paint. or Chrome/Stainless will dress it up and look great.

Personally, I like it, but as everyone else has suggested, the grill needs to be changed/modified to make it work. I look at my 35 Ford pickup, and see that style bumper looking GOOD! I think that the smaller bar does need something done on both ends to some how tie in visually. Remember, it's yours, and you are the only one who has to like it. And, by the way, nice work!
