This year was a hurried event for me as work required I hope a plane to France on Sat afternoon. I headed down on Thursday morning with Kustombuick and another friend to help with the set up of a blue 39 chevy hardtop his shop painted and A&M outside of Portland Or built. The car did well winning its class, best display, best rod and the Al Sloanker memorial award.

I missed alot of the outside rides but did capture most of the stuff inside, with over 1500 pictures this year..

I have to congratulate the boys from Spokane and specially John (Jadeidol) for his attempt to win the AMBR award with his Model A PU, "Woodward". His team of cleaners were the best looking and I have to say his car has some outstanding detail. This car is black. If it had to get beat, it got beat by another traditional styled car. (Hey John, I wore the support shirt while in Paris, so I was spreading the love worldwide...).

I will say this year, my favorite rides were once again the lowriders on display. the paint on some of these cars is beyond imagine.

Here is a link to all my pictures.

those were my top 20 HAMB friendly rides. I would have inclued a red 48 woodie but the large billet hoops forced me to toss it out. (it was in my was top 5)

Now lets look at some other outstanding rides..

Folks, when you get done with my pictures, click on the link at the bottom of Kustombuicks post to see his shots (just as many as mine but with a different eye on the camera and some different cars) or even his shop pictures (byerscustom.com) to see some of the finest paint jobs in the business.

Thanks everyone. I get enjoyment out of sharing them. it is about time for me to replace the camera, I am finding the shots are getting darker, even with the new batteries but after 30,000 + shots, I guess it might be wearing out. anyone know the life of digital camera. (light metering seems to be off).
