Dad and I will be there as spectators this year. 1149's engine isn't quite complete, so rather than push the team decided to sit back, relax and get the job done calmly before we run again.
Scarylarry and I are going in the coupe.Doesn't look like I'll have time to chop it before leaving Clark
I'll be there with my two youngin's Gray and Chase. We're also doing the Goodguy's deal in Pomona the weekend before. 15 days on the road with a 9 and 11 year old ought to be an adventure in itself. BenD
I'm gonna lay back and limit myself to the HAMB drags this year....last year was a riot and I'll hate to miss it this year...
I'm going, first time... I'll be driving my '50 Plymouth. Can't wait... Will there be a HAMB gathering? Pete
When is it? Maybe I can slip away for a day or so. Only about an hour away from me. I'd love to drive a rod out but it will have to be the old neon since I dont have the 39 done yet. Or even to my house to start yet, lol. But I will be the takin pictures for more drawings.
I'm going to be riding with the Rolling Bones crew. I had hoped to have the tranny swap done on my AV8, but due to some illness in my family coupled with two trips, I'll just have to be a passenger. The swap is done except for some loose ends and the body being reinstalled.
I too should be running with the Rolling Bones... that is if the bills get into order, and alittle more money shows up-haha man I hate being a realist
I'll be there. Don't know what I'll be driveing. But look for me at the Bend in the Road Saturday night. I'll be the guy with the stick up hair. If you miss the hair I'll be the guy with the roadster in the bed of the truck, thanks to BenD.
Will be there the 11th thru the 15th, driving my '40 Chevy ragtop with a Mullins Redcap full of support "stuff" for the wife and I. See ya all out there. Charlie
I'll be there also, Look for the guy with the Yellow Pith helmet with the Blue scallops. I'll be with the #1986 E/STR and the #608 D/GL Streamliner. I'm helping to haul the streamliner out to there but cannot stay the full week. Porknbeaner, see you there, the same goes for the rest of the HAMB Bros.
Any news on the conditions of the salt and all. They had a lot of rain and snow this year. Could be pretty wet?
Word I get is its drying real nice and the salt is better than it's been in years. Should be a really fast year if the rods hold together.
anybody else get chills thinking about where we will be in 2 weeks. maybe its just because I (with any luck) will be able to roll out there in my almost finished hot rod. Naw, I am stoked either way, the Salt is addictive I tell you..
Flatheadpete, Check out these pics from last Oct. They were filming a movie about the World's fastest Indian motrcycle. Part of the movie took place at Bonneville 1962.
I will be there with my wife, but no hot rod this year. Taking my parent's RV trailer and camping at the bend in the road. Closest to any hot rodding myself will be bringing a couple mini-bikes. The unofficial HAMB meet is definitely Sat night at the bend in the road. Also every night at the casino parking lot, I forget the name of the casino, but just look for all the rods parked out front. Can't miss it.
I'm TRYIN' to get a load to SLC so I can get my Peter(bilt) salty again....For you guys that have only seen pictures.....Daytona/Indy/Top Fuel/F1/NASCAR/ETC ain't NOTHIN" compared to Bonneville...the most beautiful place on earth and the last bastion of TRUE HOTRODDING.....
Hey Carnal, you better be out there because your ride Rules done or not done! Glad I got to see it before I headed out...keep in touch bro...
Hope you make it Rick. You're right, there isn't anything quite like it! See ya on the salt we hope. Charlie
