Kicking back the red oxide was the right choice. Looks great!

Followed the build from early on. LOVED the car, but was kind of disappointed on the paint treatment. The patina was a little over-the-top for me.

Looks better in it's current form .

One of my favorite ln the HAMB.

Thanks guys, Ya I went a little overboard in the beginning. But I'm glad its lacquer cause it was super easy to touch up. Now It flows a lot better, and overall looks more uniform.

Thanks, I like it much better too. Funny how much we evolve over the span of these projects.

The last photos I had buffed it with rubbing compound to get rid of the 1,500 sand scratches. Now I uses a swirl remover Meguairs #9 with the buffer, and then followed with a hand rub of Meguairs #7 to finish it up. I like the shine of it, but it still looks old.

Hey are you going to have the shop party before speed week again? If so I think we will leave a day early and stop in and check out the party and shop, it will be good to see how the big boys do it!

Ha, ya I got them removed, and I actually got the car started again today. Got my distributer back with the new electronics inside, and took it for a spin around the block. Car ran great right off the line, I still want to tweek with things to get it running best, but I'm super happy! Thanks max!

What did you use for the electronic dizzy conversion? I'm ready to do "something" but I'm not sure what. I'm running an 8BA with a pair of Max's 97's.

Here is the car up at the autorama. I wanted it to look like it was out on the salt. So we took a piece of carpet, painted it white, and sprayed a black line on it.

Such a cool rod, but I think the plain 77 doesn't suit.

Ha well I have some news for all of you. Doc. here on the hamb made me an offer on the car that I couldn't refuse. So as sad as it is the car is heading out the south for him to have fun with. I always had a number in mind that I would sell the car, and he offered me a little more, so I couldn't say no. Now i'm completely out of debt both personally and business, which is such a great feeling.

So this last week I've been doing a big photo shoot on the car next door. Once I get pictures back I'll post them, and probably make up some big prints like I did before.

So as part of the deal I get to keep the engine and transmission. So I had to take that out. Then he sent me some window trim to chop and fit on the front doors.

I've ordered up a 28' roadster body and 32' grill from brookville, and I plan on building a stock style 32' frame with a stock k-member and model a front and rear cross-members. I'll put this flathead and trans in it, a stock 32' front end, and use a 36' banjo rear end with a model t spring. Its going to run a full hood and hood sides, and 35' wire wheels. Just something simple, clean, and fun. Probably going to do this one super nice finish, black paint, clean upholstery, and nice details all over. Kind of want it to be high off the ground, kind of stock height looking.

Here are some of my inspirations:

Wow! Didn't see that one coming. I've always been going to comment on your build but always seemed to get caught up with your updates and forget.

Anyway congratulations, one of these years I'd like to stop by on the way to Bonneville and see the shop.
