Chris, great build. Thank you for taking the time to give us the chance to follow your progress.

A suggestion for you regarding your brakes, look for any lines that are looped over, air can be trapped this way. Bleed your master cylinder first then work your way through the system paying particular attention to junctions, valves and anything that could possibly trap air. Bleed these as you go ending with your wheel cylinders.

    Again, fantastic job and thanks.

I used an old fire extinguisher I had laying around the shop as my overflow for the radiator.

Another small update for you all. I have been slowly working on some of the small finish details on my sedan lately. One thing is that the front brakes really belong on the 33' phaeton I'm working on, cause I didn't have my front brakes done. So I finished the conversion on my brakes, that way I can give his back.

Chris: In case you haven't already considered it, I think the photos from post 1167 might be a source of revenue for you. I bet a lot of HAMB'ers would love one or both on their walls. Just a thought.

I hadn't thought of that. Would anyone be interested in some prints of these photos? What size?

I found this thread today because I have a 32 tudor and was looking for ideas, WOW! What a bitchen tudor, I have spent the last few hours glued to my seat. You did a wonderful job and the sunset picture on the salt is my new wallpaper. I would love to have mine half as cool as yours, great thread, you nailed it!

So I've been doing some more upgrades on the car. First is I re-did the steering brace on the cowl to make that a lot stronger. Its connected at the door post, firewall, and down at the frame. Then I used a connecting rod for the connection at the box. So now thats nice and strong.

Then something else i'm super excited about was I had "Uncle Max" build me a couple Stromberg 48 carbs. He did such a fantastic job i'm so happy!!!

  26. Chris, Let me know if you do the prints on these as I would be interested in the second photo with the sun going down. I framed up the one of your deuce in bare steel that I picked up when the bones boys and I were there last year and have it hanging in my shop. Get lot's of ? about who's rod is this and everyone thinks it is a cool hot rod.
see ya next Aug. on the salt.

So I've got some more updates on the car. I finished making a panel under the radiator, and worked on touching up the paint over some of the primer spots. Just wanted to darken down the car a little with having a lot less of the red-oxide primer coming through.
