Event Coverage Bonneville Speedweek 2021 Official Thread

Well, since so many of us are stuck in the cold now seems like a good time to start planning for the heat of Speedweek. This year it is August 7-13. Myself and my new crewmember Tom will be there this year getting him broke in. No car this year but we have some folks that would like us to crew with them. I will probably test the waters about doing another HAMBbq, its been a few years. The last one we did raised about a grand for Save the Salt. https://savethesalt.org/

So far it looks like Speedweek will happen and even if it didn't happen we have a calendar to produce,,,,
But no race car,,, it was a bunch of work last year.

Yeah it depends on the border and maybe getting a shot in the arm. I want to go but I want to bring the modelA.....more likely be next year. Would love to make a convoy of Canadians , we'll pick you up on the way Trollst.

Wife and I are going again this year, missed last year. My '33 Plymouth Coupe WILL be running this year. Not racing, just my driver. Car is getting closer every day.

Planning on going again this year. I try to go every other year at least. Picked a heck of a year to skip last year. Especially after how poor conditions were in 2019. I almost felt bad for the rental car after that. Almost. Any teams from MN need an extra set of hands on their crew?

 

Salt was good last year.

 

Sounds like fun but I'd have to get something put together worth taking down there.

Update 7-10-21:
I woke up and figured out that that is the week my daughter is getting married. She is getting married on the 14th so I am not going to make it this year.
