Event Coverage Bonneville role call...Who's going to speed week?

Its the 60th and there has been little to no talk here on the hamb...Who is going to be there this year?

 

we'll be there, messing with the mustang and helping out/bugging dave and kenny who are going for a flathead record with kenny's street engine.

 

Got a XO/GL to try out ! Shooten for 188 mph. !!!We hope the old 54 GMC straight 6 cyl. 302 has "enuf" power !! we are also going to try and make the Maxton Mile in sept. ! Open record for our class there !!!

 

I'll be there. Never been and it's just a few hundred miles from me. I know I'm a lazy lame ass.

 

I'll be there for the first couple days. Sadly I'm not able to do the HAMB BBQ this year though, due to some personal things, sorry guys. Hope to see some faces there though.

 

this will be my 1st year also been wanting to go for the last 15 yearsI will be driving my 34 chevy and if anyone else from washington wants to caravan I will be leaving the friday morning before from chehalis and if anyone else here sees me there say hey its always great to meet other hambers. I just put the lakes pipes on so there not in these pics

 

oh yea I just added wide whites to the front along w/a t-5 for the overdrive for the trip

hey jaws I plan on staying in ontario oregon friday night so if you want to meet up on sat. let me know pics of my coupe w/changes

 

Our plan is to leave Saturday morning, be there by Monday. Not driving the A it's running a bit warm for that kind of drive. Also going to do the drive to check out Alvord Lake in Oregon. "29hotrod55custom" is working on setting up races there.
I can't wait!!!!

 

We have a contingent from MI & CO coming out. I'm putting a new trans into my roadster for this trip & I think that I have my buddy talked into bringing out his 32 3-wdo too!

Sweet racecar! ... Just curious ... what class? ... Jim Howe's 307.555 mph has held onto the A / Blown Fuel Modified Roadster record since 1991 ... you guys plan on knocking on that door?

Here's to a hard, dry & smooth surface this year ... and Salty Rooster-tails!

UPDATE: I saw on the SCTA website that the Jesel & LeFevers #701 racecar is pre-entered in the C motor / Unblown Gas Modified Roadster class ... current C/GMR record was set last year @ 255.747 mph... so I guess you're setting your sights on a minimum of 258.304 mph (255.747 + 1%)?
