thanks for taking shots of a little bit of everything justin. sometimes the hamb-mania sets in and all you see are the same two or three cars over and over again. nice to see the full spectrum represented.

    see ya at el mirage.

I would have to agree....but, the Seth Hammond car is clasified as, and runs as a "Lakester". Streamliners run with enclosed wheels. Lakesters run with exposed wheels.

    Thanks for the great pictures.

Thanks for the great pics. It's posts like this that take some of the sting out of not making the trip this year. It was a tough pill to swallow.

  13. What is the story on the wierd belt drive ?
Is there any rear suspension ?

i think the rear was a 9 inch flipped over and backwards, it was solid mounted. pretty simple setup, pulley mounted to the back of the trans, pulley mounted to the diff, to swap ratios just swap pulleys. pretty smart idea if it worked, never saw the car run so i can't say if the belt held or not. the car had some really nice craftmanship but i wonder why he went with a 34 body instead of a t as there's about a foot of room on either side of the engine.

JGMagoo1939, ya had a brain fart on the hammond car, guess that's happens after a week or so of not sleeping, and being in the sun all day.

beef i might have some tech questions for you in sept, hope to actually have the old heap out there in october to go through inspection
