I wasn't going to post this here, but I figured I may as well.
In the latest issue of CKD magazine there is a story and spread on Bonneville racing. (lets keep the hate to a dull roar on this one) There are a few HAMB'rs in this one.

Holy Shit, I'd better get down to the local book store and get me a copy, looks like that one is worth saving.

    Thanks Mike

The HAMB license plate shows up good also.

Kinda thought the gasser Vette looked a little out of place on the salt, But I sure dug it.

That pic was taken in August of 2010 and the grille was a lot dirtier than it was in Feburary in Detroit. Thanks again though, see you in Salina.

For the complete story on the red streamliner, "Spirit of Salt Lake City", and the other jet cars of the 60s, buy this book....

Nice article and great photos! ... thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Although Hawley's "SPEED DUEL" includes some great pics & info on the City of Salt Lake (wheel-driven) streamliner, his book really focuses more on the jet & rocket LSR vehicles of the '60s.

That said, there's lotsa pics and more info about the City of Salt Lake 'liner in Goober's Athol Graham Bonneville Streamliner Rebuild: A Son's Dream & A Father's 300MPH Legacy thread.

Mike! Looks like another awesome spread! "Jonny Black Socks" car on your opening page! I think he pissed his pants when I showed it to him!

BTW, you never stoped to get your jacket out of my shop! It's a little to big for me! Haha it's only been hanging around for the past 3 years. The way the weather has been lately your going to need this on the salt this year!

Has he still got that Merc engine in it? I loved driving that thing, that little flat head Merc refused to slow down, it just kept on pulling.

Speaking of Flatheads, is yours in the '34 broken in yet? I wanna drive it fast too!

Maybe you can use my jacket as a tent?

John you need to come out to Bonneville this year. I'll buy you a Pizza, we'll sit around the campfire and tell lies.
