  2. I remember you had more of the exhaust, kinda going through the firing order in three or four shots. Correct?

    These are good though! :D

  3. Oh man, the wait is going to kill me! I am on call all week, the thought of next week will get me through the fuel outages and folks running out of cement powder because they forgot to ordeR!

The best cold beers of the year will be those sipped after a long day on the salt!

    Wine in DW's case.

Well it's official, The Bucket List Dream Studebaker Avanti (formally the Burke Bros) and I will not be coming to Speed Week or World of Speed this year. My health took a turn for the worse (cancer came back again) and my builder has had some major health issues this month. So things did not get done as planned. So please take lots of pictures and post them along with any cool stories you might see. We will begin making plans for the 50th Anniversary Tour of the car for 2013. Speed Week will mark the first year the car raced and the record it set that year along with the over 30 records that have been recorded with the car and various drivers. Please have a lot of fun and really enjoy the racing as you never know when you will get back there.

I'm traveling down with our good family friend vince, and spending the whole week crewing for him. I'm really pumped to go after a 2 year absence of salt.

    Here's vinces XXO/BFMR roadster

My dad (lytles garage) and brother are also HOPEFULLY heading down in my dads panel truck. We've been prepping it for the trip. If you see The Pickle (panel) or the roadster stop by and say hi.

I can tell you there shop is first rate, Full service , motor shop, fabrication and body shop. If you ever find your self in Chico you need to stop by, well worth the visit.

Yeah man he's great. I get to spend the whole week helping him! I am so excited. I got to spend the whole week 3-4 years ago and it was a blast.

Hey folks, this will be my first time out with my buddy Jasan (racejam) in my F1. We're just spectating THIS time around. I can't wait, been trying to do this for a long time. Hope to meet a bunch of y'all at the Bend and in the pits.

  20. Hey is there any chance of getting a picture of the panel truck that is sitting behind the roadster?

    Thanks

    From post #604:
"Wine in DW's case." Beer works too Tman. I read on lr.com that the Scots are bringing 10 year old Bushmills.

The White Goose Bar team is almost ready.

The roadster is in the box, pick up the streamliner at the wrap place tomorrow. Have to change over to the salt front end and change the rear gear. The truck has a ways to go. Needs the replacement windshield and air dam finished. Other items on the 'to-do' list. The list is down to one page, both sides.

You would think that with all the years of experience we could be ready without the last minute thrash. But, that is one of the things about Bonneville, makes it all the sweeter.

    See ya there,
    DW
