Trying to figure what kind of headers are on this sweet little coupe at Bonneville this year. Does any one know?

    Who's car?
What kind of headers are they?
    Are they custom?

    Thanks for any help![IMG]

I don't see any headers, just some straight pipes coming off the head.

He was at the bend in the road all week, yep just some tubes, no collector. Does look wild though.

Custom is one way to describe them. Can't you contact the website where you got the pic from and ask them for info?

Better pics? Meaning taken from further away?
You could just stand further from the monitor!

Go get about a dozen 180 degree U bends, some 90's, throw it all in a pile......presto-chango! Would look very similar.

Also from another former header builder, I don't see any headers, like someone said I see a jumble of pipes arranged to cause some sort of shock factor with no regard to any standard of header technology. Move on, nothing to see here...............seriously!!

  10. They look like late model oval track" over the top" headers cut off short.

How about a set of fenderwell exit headers, that have been shortened................

i was thinkin undercar headers, flipped over/swapped sides and chopped off before the collector. maybe? kinda looks like a pile of trombones that got run over by a car.

That jumble of pipes is also robbing the engine of some good horsepower. I would think you need a collector and about 1 to 2 feet of pipe for good efficiency on a normally aspirated motor.

Thank you to the 3 people that had something worth reading....

    Either:
    Custom
Undercar headers, flipped over/swapped sides and chopped off before the collector
Fenderwell exit headers, that have been shortened...
Late model oval track "over the top" headers cut off short

Anyone else with some constructive ideas?
