    Was trying to list a vintage spotlight with a blue lens on Ebay and it got rejected. Anyone know the reason?

  2. Most states only allow blue lights on emergency vehicles.Maybe that's why?

  3. Gotta be more to it than just the light being blue.

    I know they kicked out my Anglia hood ad one time because I wanted to charge a surcharge for using PayPal.

    Probably didn't want to run afoul of any state/international laws. In many places, forward facing blue lights are only allowed on police/emergency vehicles.

  5. Like the H.A.M.B., did you check the rules?

    In California Blue is reerved by state law for the Highway Patrol (CHP) use only. Anyone else using this even as a tail light cats eye has to get their permission and then keep that document with the vehicle in case a stop is made.

    In the Northeast, red and blue are for our Serve-and-Protect folks.

    it's because ebay sucks. they were cancelling ads for listing obvious toy guns without an orange thing sticking out the barrel. hundreds of listings.

    "got rejected" as in you couldn't list it or got cancelled after it was already listed??

    I think same "rules" apply as for forward facing red lights.......New York state made tow trucks go to amber lights, instead of the formerly used red "gumball machine" units. Most P.D. use a red /blue light arrangement.

    Ebay is jealous that they don't have a special light and don't want the competition from Kmarts "blue light special"

  14. When eBay rejected my listing for an antique fire extinguisher, they told me that you cannot sell fire extinguishers unless they are empty. Well, mine WAS empty, but I didn't SAY that it was empty.

    EBAY = PITA

    I tried to sell a WWII German storm troopers uniform and they cancelled the auction. I told them it had historic significance and they told me it was a Hate Symbol.

    You can still sell it. Just don't show the Nazi symbol is all.

    The reason is some dirt bag could use the light to play fake cop. It's in the eBay rules somewere. Bob

    The only legal blue lights I've every seen on the front of unofficial vehicles were owned by volunteer firemen, who were obviously on call all the time. Gary
