I have a set of diamondback WWWs on my truck. Took it out last night for a drive got caught in the rain. When I went out to the garage this morning I saw black streaks on the front tires. Nothing on the back. There's disks up front drums in the back. I didn't know if it was break dust or what? It looks like it came out from between the rim and tire and went outward. Cleaned off easily. Just wondering what it could be. Has anyone else had this happen? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
that's probably lubricant they use to mount tires. it dries in there and when it gets wet again, well, you know...
Science 101. The inside of the tire is dirty and even though you don't realize it, the tire is not completely air tight. The high speed rotation of the tire, spins the combination of dirt and condensation between the rim and tire. Thus, those black streaks. The Science Guy
The dirt has been doing that same thing for a very long time. A little centrifugal force works wonders.
That's what I wondered. I just didnt notice it on the black walls before. How come its only on the front tho? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
