black steel wheels

Our `35 sedan

 

I will get a photo of the wheel done and on the car, it now has a spider ring and bullet cap & lugs

 

The HAMB told me I couldn't run red, so I just painted them black.

i used black steelies cause they're cheap,,$80 for 4 rust free ones off a 70's malibu at the pick a part

I had to shitcan the Coker Classics that were too old, and got some new Firestones. Everyone seems to be glad the whitewalls are back. It looks good, but I do still like the blackwalls too.

Why Black??? Because AutoZone was out of red, in spray bombs, that's why!

 

Perfect timing......I was just contemplating what color to go with for my wheels.

I know it's an old thread being revived from the dead, but there are some really nice cars in this thread. Especially this one!

 

just didnt look right with Mags

 

my 16x4s and 16x5s got em for $10 a piece but I bought 5 million wheels to get the sizes I wanted

 

A couple of black steelies on mine...

 

Here's mine. Origininal 16 X 4 on front and 16 X 5 on back. Black glossy powder coat and my own striping.
