Funny what a difference that detail alone can make in the personality of a car. I've got two pictures of nearly-identical gray-and-red roadsters in my photobucket account, one of which is my favorite car and the other that just has the "dude" look. The windshield rake makes a big difference. All details do, quite frankly, that's what can make or break any car.

as a body man / painter my first choice for any car is black. nothing looks better. but you loose alot of the details of a car with black. of the last 5 cars i have built for my self they all have been tripple black

biggest pain is selecting the right parts to chrome. too much chrome looks like a catalog car too little makes it looks too low rent

Agreed, fascinating how two triple black 28' on 32' rails cars can look so different.
I'm interested in finding out if the person that built the one with the burgandy interior had to pie cut the frame in the back to get it to sit that low. From the picture it looks like a pretty clean job if that's what they did, but it's hard to tell.

    Oh, um...black cars...here:

It has kina been repaired. I just can't re-size pics so that is an old one I had that I knew was the right size.

It runs and drives and kina looks O.K. not nearly as nice though.

This one needs to be in here too, the Rudy Rodriguez' '29. Quite similar to the other two roadsters above. I just love it.

From HOP UP #2, Brent Bell's '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe:

"...black wheels on a black car. That takes courage ... it's one of the ultimate 'I won't do anything distracting from the overall look of this piece just to please someone else' statements you can make ... I'm OK. My rod's OK."

My '32 truck will be black-black-black.

So far, I only have the tires mounted on the wheels. :)

Hard to find pics with blackwalls that haven't been posted.
Hopefully I don't have too many that have already been posted.
A few white walls showed up but their worth it I think

Yep I'm with you guys everything I own is black with black wheels, from my daily to my roadster, although there is someone trying to talk me into red wheels on the roadster. I think I'll stick with black, some people call me amish though.
