here are some picuture of our second car under construction the 235 Blue Flame This the way we got it off Paddy We changed a few things extended the back hoop so i would fit in,added the front hoop, changed the cal and dash area, tail shaft loop, put a solid fire wall in and moved the motor foward with the help off QQmoon and Nick Welding off the cage Nick welding
Love the pictures and I believe the rear suspension would help in the classification process. Love the Mcgurk manifold a real antique. Are those 94 crbs you're running? And lastly what car did your raditator come out of? I'm sure it wouldn't be available here but it is perfect in size. I have been looking all over for a used raditator for my car and all to no avail. New is cost prohibitive. Keep up the good work.Roy
Hi 348, I found my radiator in an early dodge mini van, maybe 84, they have a radiator on one side and the condenser on the other side, so it's not real wide, and it has an electric fan with it, the motor was a 3 liter V6, so it cools my 3.7 liter slant 6 just fine, it even seems to cool better with the electric water pump drive, good luck on your search. Joe
The car looks great I like the firewall position, with it between the box and bellhousing do you still need scatter shield over the clutch ?
you need a 360 degree scatter shield, protects you, the crowd and other cars that you are racing and your own back tires.
Hey Roy, we are looking at keepin the manifold for the next motor, the crbs are 98 strombergs.we hav a set of triple su and hav had a manifold made to suit the 235.... the radiator is out of a early holden FJ which are had to come across over here. i was lucky that it came with it when we brought it cheers Steve
Hey Drewfus , dont worry about chasing them we still hav the body pannels to do and a few things to the steering weld of a few things and then off to the sand blasters so ya lookin about 4 to 6 weeks till we are going to need them.... the car looked great on sunday it was sad that the rain stuffed the day up cheers Steve

we broke . the front 1/2 of the cam into 6 piece cylinder number 5 conrod and miss all but the top of the piston in that cylinder put a crack in cylinder 6 piston and a big hole in the block in between cylinders 5 and 6 and put a hole in the valley at one of the lifters unsure what else is broken as still pulling it down and still unsure what let go
here are some pics where the rods came through the sump and a vid off whats left inside the sump when we took it off....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5oviO-vuo0
Man, if you can do that well as a FNG I'm scared to think of what will happen when you reach Grenade Inspector status. Sorry to see of your problems, when these old engines come apart they do tend to make sure that we can't put them back together again.
Reminds me of about 40 years ago at Lions a fuel bike was coming up to the starting line and he run the revs up and the engine came apart. The carb was hanging from the throttle cable and the cylinders were gone. The guy looked down and gave the throttle a couple of twists I guess to see if what he was looking at was really true. Roy
Sorry we didn't get to say goodbye last sunday but we had to get home and packed to make it over to the hamb drags.they we even better than i could have hoped for.hope you get that motor fixed soon so we can race again.
OBFB, glad I got a chance to talk with you at the drags. Bet you had a memorable trip. Keep up the good work on your side of the planet.
