Firstly a big thanks to all who attended the 2016 Black Forest Drive this was the 6th.

Its an invite only for traditional cars. We focus on fun with like minded people getting out and driving your cars and a decent feed at the end. Its a low key event, very basic bones stuff really, but I think we all had a good day.

There were some new faces this year which was great, and a few new cars, both first time out or first time to this run.

The route focus on keeping off the main roads and heading down those roads you might drive past and wonder where they go. We also try and mix up the scenery, so open country, bush and also small country towns. Most of this is accomplished only an hour to an hour and a half from the centre of Melbourne , Australia.

I love seeing the faces on the people in the small country towns when they see 40+ traditional hot rods roll through their quiet country town in a long procession on a Saturday morning, they stare as if aliens have just past through.

Again thanks to Dave and Wayne for organizing this all. Dave sorted out the fantastic Aussie BBQ with istra sausages, and condiments.

Wayne again did a stellar job on the entrants poster he amazes me every year with what he comes up with and each years been different.

If you're interested to see previous runs a search for black forest should bring them up.

Again thank to all who attended, with out all they people who make an effort it wouldn't be a success, some came from quite a distance too.

    Thanks all.

So photos... yes photos and I have a heap I know the HAMB crowd loves photos.

Great cars. How come some of the cars are not required to run fenders?

we try and make the run meander through various different scenery to make the drive not just about the cars but enjoying your environment too.

We were leading the charge, another change of scenery to some good old Aussie bush. the trees here were so straight and there was some bracken covering the ground. it was a nice forest to drive through - the Wombat forest.

Enjoyed the Aussie countryside and all the great cars. The real bonus was seeing that the photo of my mate, Harry Wright, enjoying the outing. We go back a long ways with Harry and would enjoy an update on his status if anyone can give one. Great coverage of a great event, good on ya.
