Great to see your progressing Rooster
So I have sold my 331 and supercharger to buy this...1969 428 cobra jet..real deal..looks like the 5 speed is going away for a built c-6 with a brake...should be a real wheel stander..
Plans for this motor include a set of aluminum edelbrock heads and a bigger bump stick..maybe 2 fours..
KOOL,that engine is what should be in the FALCON!!! ROY.
Bingo. Perfect Engine choice. Nothing like a big snarling FE to get a small compact car moving quickly.
Cool Build. Keep up the good work.
Looking good. That 428 should make her scream.
Rooster;your crossmember is upside down, the "DIP" should be on the bottom!!Will the driveshaft clear with it "UP"? ROY.
Roy its in right....upside down works great for a higher car...lol...you made me laugh..
Very neat bends on your 2X3 tubing, Rooster. Are those Alston or were you able to mandrel-shape them?
Kudos on your FE choice, BTW...I'm building a 406 as we speak.
Mike the rails I bought at Applied racing technology....they sure are nice
...next up is the wish bone and a anti roll bar...shock mounts
Rooster;lost my head for a minute, forgot you are building a 'Highboy'!!!! ROY.
Roy ride height should be 11.5 inches in the front and 10 in the rear from the pinch weld to ground..
I k ow this is an OLD thread, but did you ever finish the falcon?
