Biggest tire for 15x10 steel wheel

    wanting to know whats the widest tire i can run on a 15x10 steel pickup wheel...heard way to many things from way to many people and wanted to see if someone here can give me a solid answer

    I've seen 15 inch wide tires on a 10 inch wide wheel. It worked out pretty good on the back but I definately wouldn't run them on the front. Also, you probably shouldn't go any wider than 15 inch.

    I am running a 285/70 15 on the rear of my Model A on a 15x10 wheel....

    I think the widest you'll probably find is 295/50R15 for a 10" wide wheel. I had them on my old Monte Carlo SS. They're pretty wide. Looked really good.
     

  5. Depends on the tire. Height, saidewall construction etc. I run 14X31 Firestone Dirt Tracks on my 15X10's and the tire measures out at 14 1/2" wide.

    FWIW 29X15.50-15LT Mickey Thompson Sportsmans are approved by them for 10 inch wheels.

    Yea this is going on my 55' pickup...Sweet 295/50/r15 sounds good but so does a 14X31 Firestone Dirt Track(hmmmm some cheaterslicks would be choice)
