I've seen +60's available, I was just wondering how far they will go, I'm sticking at +40 on mine

  4. I've seen reported overbores of up to .140" over with sonic checking, .060" over is no problem.

Sonic check it first. Many of these blocks have core shifts. My 60 over 312 only got that far by shifting one bore slightly to the "thick" side. My 40 over 292 only went that far and kept enough thickness for a blower motor.

If you're looking for displacement, go to Mummert's site and check the stoker kits. He's got some new rods for them. My 292 runs 320, the 312 goes 340.

There's some UK guys that show up at yblocksforever also.

I went .060" over on my 292, then ran the crap out of it for 3 years at 3 grand plus on the highway, never had an issue.
