I just took another look at Sebs post, I think further clarification may be necessary. Mustang went to the wider engine compartment 1 year later than Fairlane/Falcon, and contrary to popular misconception, the '67/'70 Mustang front stub is NOT the same as '66/'69 Falcon/Fairlane, the mustang compartment is longer in length, and shallower. Some headers will share the same part # for both applications, but not all. Some mustang headers, the back tubes will hit the firewall if you try to use them in a fairlane/falcon, and they will hang lower.
What about the '64-1/2 Falcon "Super Sprints"(390, 7000 kit, 4spd, VERY limited production)? Seem to remember "The Green Frog" at Cecil County in the mid-'60's for example(but after 50+/- yrs the memory isn't that trustworthy! LOL!!) Perhaps these were an 'urban-legend', but there were enough sightings to raise questions(& they looked way too 'clean' for 'non-factory'!)
