anybody know what the best rearend for a 39 chevy sedan would be. will have a mild sbc. any help is appreciated. Thanks, Kenny
Early chevy II, Ford Granada, Lincoln Versailles, 4x4 s-10. These are a few that come to mind that are close to the right width.
I have an Nova/Camero Rear. Its a fits, but it pretty close to the outside of the fenders on my 38. S10 or 80's Malibu for chev lug Pattern and they are narrower.
I wanted to stay with the 4 3/4" Chevy bolt pattern so I went with an early Camero rear end. Fit just right.
I used the complete drivetrain from a 73 Nova SS, Motor,Trans and Rear Axle, even the driveshaft after cutting to length. Check out build photos at www.melswell.com Mel
