I find these kits interesting, just talking the materials say for the crossmember, hats and strut brackets could be made for a fraction of the cost to buy one. But already made is hard to beat, especially with instructions...

I installed a TCI on my 47 and it is a good kit. I got the package deal from Classic Performance.

I was looking to buy one for my 48 Ford and found that CPP sells package deals on Ebay. If you get the product number from the ebay ad and call CPP they will give you the same deal on the phone. You will NOT be able to beat the price, anywhere.

Ditto... $1800, $2500 for a front end? Heck.. I'll complete my car for that kind of money.

Don't think we should knock those that can or do however, we're all car people and that's pretty cool. I'll stick with stock.

  6. Anyone know if they make a "trick" front spring for a mustang ll setup ? Something like Morosos for drag racing.

And I can't make one myself. Some times I like to buy myself something shiney and pretty. Makes my eyes dance.

I have a Fatman setup under my '37 Terraplane and it is perfect. I researched a new setup for my '40 Chevy and ordered a bolt in unit from Jim Meyer Racing. It is a little pricey but you can adjust the ride height about four inches and they use Chevelle spindlels, brakes and ball joints. They also supply a Flaming River steering rack. There is one small support bracket that is welded to the top of the frame but the rest bolts in using the factory frame holes.

Well let's talk about problems with the mii. Anyone have any horror stories? I've heard plenty myself but have no experience with the mii. I just decided to modify the factory front end on my 53 but I'm looking to do the mii swap when I'm done with my c10( er just when I find a stopping point rather). Anyone have any problems with their conversion?
