I salvaged this Bendix 2 way vacuum switch from a old Chevy 2 ton truck. It controls the shift for the 2 speed rear axle. It's cable operated with a knob on the dash. It has a number in the housing. 377265 any info on it would be useful. Years made, model number, applications. Thank you

My first thought is could it be used to operate a Columbia 2 speed diff. ?

Would you happen to still have this? Would you sell it?

When I was a kid, my dad had a ‘46 1.5 ton Chevy with a two speed rear, but it’s lever to shift was on the floor and seem to recall it was all manual, I/e a rod or cable maybe? to the rear. I recall him having to double clutch to go up or down.
Seems like vacuum would have been more modern than that?
The truck I drove for him a few years later was a 54 semi cab over 2.5 ton Ford, it had an electric shift 2 speed

Do you recall what the cab of the truck looked like?
