I have a 50 ford shoebox. it came with no front seats. I scored a front bench seat out of a 66 Ranchero in decent shape (which the width is ok). The problem is there are no seat tracks. I'm looking to retrofit some tracks to mount to the seat and then to the floor. I'm not sure how to go about doing this. is there an aftermarket track to use, something out of another car? and still be able to have front to rear adjustability...

  2. Lot of upholstery suppliers have some universal sets.

  3. Used several sets of the universal tracks from Speedway; reasonable $ and less work then reworking OEM tracks. They also have risers etc if you don't want to fab your own.

  4. Take a stroll through the wrecking yard. Lots of tracks will work. I just used late model Cavalier tracks on an Astro van bench in a 51' F1. Easy peasy.
