Seeing that I'm in South Africa & have never seen one here,I don't have a clue where to begin...gonna run a Flathead V8 in it & I've got alot of running gear from different old vehicles. Thanx Jannie

Hello..I have a tank too and am gathering parts, but have many project ahead of this tank. Just use the SEARCH feature in this site, quite a few threads on bellytanks here.Good luck to you sir, nice to see your project. Here are pics of my junk,I think mine is from an F4U corsair http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa64/gasnutty/000_0274.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa64/gasnutty/000_0273.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa64/gasnutty/000_0272.jpg
One of the coolest racers you can build. Lot of stuff out there on them. If you can get the dimensions from your tank and post 'em here the guys can give you a better idea of how to proceed. The bigger tanks are perfered, like P-38 and F-104's. Good luck on your project, looking forward to seeing pics.
Thanx for the pics Six.At the look of those my tank is almost the same size...thing is my tank is still on the farm...about 500miles for me at the moment... Funny thing is,the farm is about 60miles from our 'dry-lake'...VERNEUK PAN(google it,if you wanna)...which Sir Malcolm Campbell set a record on in 1929! This is where my Belly-tanker will do it's runs when finished Thanx Jannie
SpdDmn Go to Purplesagetradingpost.com and Sumner's home page. There are dozens of links to builds. You can spend hours there. If you can't figure something out, most of those guys will be glad to reply.
