Technical Bello's Kustoms chops a '37 ford Coupe time lapse video

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by jakespeed63, Oct 17, 2021.

  1. Amazing time lapse video, showing a master craftsman lowering the lid on a '37 Ford Coupe.
Got my eye on a '39 sleeping in a Cleveland garage. After watching this, totally changed my tune, as to what it should look like. Notice most of the equipment is almost as old as the car itself.
Why isn't Motor Trend TV showing stuff like this, instead of all that other drama driven BS car programs?? (honestly some of the content is good, I avoid the other)

An artist at work. That’s some of the most complex roofs types to cut. Noticed not many pie cuts. This guy makes it look easy. That chop is perfect. thanks for sharing.

I've been following him for a while, that's one of his best episodes.

Note to self: I gotta get me one of those saws

  6. He has a lot of good videos. I'm not a fan of the time lapse, I prefer the earlier normal speed ones. But It's wonderful to watch the work.

Equipment? Watch more and you'll ask 'is there something he hasn't got?'
Still uses the manual guillotine though, everything else is power.

WOW! That is the best 25 minutes I've spent on the HAMB in a long time! How does the car look in finish paint?

I notice that he use the two tape method of measuring his chop cuts, instead of using a 3 inch wide roll for a 3 inch chop. I only say this because on one of my first chops, that involved me and a buddy, we use the two tape chop method and in our rush of trying to show off to the other person (we were only 16 years old and in the muscle car era), each taking one side, I cut on the outer edge while my buddy cut on the inner edge of the tape. The end result was a severely chop 36 Ford pick up. This person is really skilled and the outcome is great.

Sure lots of artistic, skilled, muscular, ambitious, work, doing a difficult chop. Car had a good look before he started...when he finished, it looked absolutely fantastic! Cool video.

  15. It was worth the time to watch it. The finished result looks like it came that way from the factory. A fantastic job.
