A friend of mine loaned me an alum. chevy bellhousing for my duece sedan project.(if it works Ill pay him for it) My question is what the bellhousing came out of, He said a nova. The clutch fork angles down at about 45 degree angle instead of strait out the side.If it is a nova what year?

that would be the early novas, 62 thru 1967. In 1968 they turned into normal cars.

yes, except monza's had an oddball fork setup that were a cable pull instead of a push setup. I believe a search for Monza bellhousing will turn up a pic I posted of one. I suspect if it was one of these you'd have noticed as a standard fork will not work.

82-83 camaros also had the fork at an angle, but not 45 degrees. They used normal Z bar mechanical linkage.
