This is a very serious problem... Which way do I mount my bellflower exhaust on our 63 mercury Monterey? I present you 3 options... Sent from my SM-G955U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
#3. With number 1 you may be scraping the pipes in every driveway. #2 just looks wrong with the wheel well.
None of the above. When viewing photos of cars equipped with them when they were just big chrome tips with no name, notice the only part showing is the end, and the great big pipe part is hidden up underneath the car out of sight.
Listen to this guy. Three. He's the only guy that's responded from southern California (where Bellflower is actually located) that's offered up an opinion. Bellflower is maybe a twenty minute drive away for him. He knows ...
#3 for me but I'm just happy to see them at all. Bellflower Tips and Shannon Cones either one are too far and too few these days. Nice looking Mercury.
I don't have a car for them but if I did it would have them. I've looked at hundreds of installation and different lengths of the them over the years and they looked the best starting at the end of the wheel opening, back then there were many lengths and maybe still are. Some guys turned up the bend to help go around the tire, you need to to what your doing now looking to see what best especially on the turn up if needed. Good luck and they will look great on the Merc. PS: back in the 50's, a half scrapped off exhaust tip was a sign of success for your lowering especially if they ended at the end of the bumper and didn't stick out past... At one time I lived in Lakewood which borders Bellflower.
That would be the plan, I did the best I could with boxes. Sent from my SM-G955U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I think #3 is what I'm going with. Now gotta figure out if I'm going to weld on a bracket to hang them or have them supported right before they start. Sent from my SM-G955U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
That's the problem I ordered the longest ones I could find and they're still too short Sent from my SM-G955U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
