Just put the new tires and wheels on over the weekend and I'm very happy with the way it looks. And I'm looking forward to J-Bird coming in a couple of weeks to lay down some stripping.

Very cool!! are you sure it's a 51? looks like it has 1950 side trim and grill.

  8. IF you're going to lower it, I'm thinking it'd look good with a rake, as in lowering the front some. Something about it says 'hot rod' more than 'custom'. And dang that's gottalotta front bumper!

    Thanks,
    Kurt

Thanks I needed that.Thats why you should proof read. So you don't look like a dumbass in not knowing the year of your own car. It is a 50

Thanks for the input guys, but I am leaning towards raising the front to stock height for the taildragger look.

I like the new look. I agree with everyone else so far and vote for a drop of a couple of inches.

Looking good! I would put some beautiy rings and spidercaps on it to give it a classy look. And maybe go back to clear windows. I would lower the back instead of raising the front back to stock if your going for the taildragger look, but it isnt my car and looks like your doing one hell of a job doing it yourself!

amazing what a set of wheels will do. looks great. looks better lower.

  18. ....leave the rear alone, lose the front bumper, and jack the front up about 5 inches!

please dont raise the front!!! if your really after a tail dragger lower the rear more.. it would look sick with some 56 olds spinner hubcaps. or something like it.. those olds mags would probly fetch a good buck on ebay too
