  3. I was standing on the right side of the track at the starting line when you did that great wheelie @ the GGG! Rob Frazier was announcing the meet and gave me a call-out over the loud speaker just before you took off. From a spectator's perspective, it was worth it. I know that isn't any consolation for you.

  4. Unfortunately I didn't take any before-before pics of this car. Bought in '64 as a sophomore in HS and didn't dawn on me to photog it. Here are some in-progress shots soon after I bought it and a couple current pics of the car finished in about '95. is my daily driver off and on, just a cartoon of one. The kid in this picture is now 6 foot 4.

I sold it to a dude who removed the 389 and stuck in a Chevvie. Now it looks like this.

DANG!!! these Henry Js and Willys bring me back to the 60s when I used to hang out at Fomosa. I used to cruise down from Fresno with my cousin Rick and spend the night sleeping in the back of my 55 Nomad out in the parking lot. These really were the good old days. When all our school mates were riding around on Stingray bikes and skateboards, we were hangin at the strip...Great thing was our dads were both gearheads so never got any flak from them about going outta town for this. Funny all that freedom and never smoked, or drank, but I know I screwed around at least once, cuz I got daughter.

Willys36, Glad you got to see it...and I am glad I did not! I did not own the car at that time. It was owned by Tom Timoszyk from Wayne, Michigan. Tom is the fine gentleman that allowed me to repurchase my old car the following year. I have located some additional photos from in between the "original before" and "final after", including what it looked like when Mr. Timoszyk bought it in the late 90's. I am going to try to add them to the original post...

  11. How cool is this! Do you post on the Drag Cars in Motion thread anymore?
Your Chevy is a REAL, genuine gasser.

  12. I've seen your Willy's umpteen times at Famosa, had no idea you've had it so long! Nice car, cool pics!

002.JPG 001.JPG 003.JPG I included three pictures of the '40 coupe. First one is '04, car had been sitting outside for about 35 years. Third one is part way thru. Second one is Capitol Raceway in '14. Sorry these are pictures of pictures. Gene.

Bought the Falcon as a roller with new Speedway axle and 9" Ford axle.

After all the driveline, plumbing, wiring, interior, gauges, etc. it's preforming well with the Great Lakes Gassers.
