    DirtyDan, Is that the same paint on the car in both versions? Could you give me a little more information on the color and type? I want to paint my Desoto a dark blue like that, with the "miles deep" look.

    thanks, just finished installing the door glass this weekend for the RU, kinda proud to say a fully functional door glassed hardtop, no lexan for me. :D

    Yes, the paint is the same in both pics. It is probably over 30 yrs old enamel. It is supposed to be "Washington Blue", an original 36 Ford color, and it is fairly close. I had to repaint my firewall and had it color matched... I could probably dig up the color codes if you wanted it to match exactly.
