Technical Been searching out info on shrinking discs

    And came across some older (3+ years or so) threads, and a few folks mentioned they "made their own discs" out of 14 and 16 ga SS.

    Question for those that have made their own discs, would you post a pic of them, and also the process used to make them?

    I assume these were serrated ones?

    Next question, what is used as a backing pad for them?

    Can you still buy them? If not I was thinking you could cut one out of diamond plate or checker plate steel?

    10" circular saw blade. Grind off the teeth, cut notches in from the outside circumference with your chop saw...about 1.5" apart, and 2" deep. Works GREAT. (zero $$, pick 'em up anywhere)

    Good info, what do you use for a backing plate/pad and what diameter should it be?
