I spent some time loitering at the Bean Bandits pit last Sunday at El Mirage. This was the first shakedown run at El Mirage for the new rear engine modified roadster built by Fabian and the rest of the Bean Bandits at Vintage Hammer Garage. The body is completely handbuilt from aluminum. The entire car was built in 7 weeks and made 2 passes at Bonneville this year.

I have have yet to get the hang of videoing cars going 170+ mph so don't laugh. ;)

I'll now hand the mic to Fabian or Tom to answer any questions...

Oh and here is a link to the rest of my photos from that day, I didn't take very many-

And here's another video, Road Runner's Mike Ferguson making a pass in the 1169 D/GR car.

Fabian is the best...he and Tom built my car and their work is outstanding and aesthetically correct...if you want excellent metal work and traditional ideas to make your car cool....Vintage Hammer Garage is the place to call....support a fellow HAMBER!

Great photos, John. Thanks! There's no such thing as too many pictures from El Mirage.
