Be Honnest - Too Much Bling?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Bib Overalls, Oct 18, 2012.

  1. Not too much bling for me but then I believe the daash is where bling belongs.

  2. Don't let the sun behind ya. It's neat as hell!

  3. To build a Deuce to justify that dash is going to have to be a beauty!

    The dash is perfect. HRP

That's not bling. It's fine art. There's a difference in my book.

  14. That is beautiful. Here's a panel that was cast by ALCHEMY here on the HAMB for MAXGEARHEAD and I'm helping with the construction of the dash in that I made the top rail and cut the holes for the gauges. Jim (maxgearhead) is gonna polish it and and then decide on a finish for the insert. I'm pretty sure what you have is what Max is looking for as an end result. I'm with everyone else, what you have is a work of art. Great job.

I was just going to say the same comment! The gauges and insert look amazing!

  19. That, good sir, is a work of art. The gallery must now be constructed in which it will hang. My one fear is that, in constructing the artifice worthy of that gem, you may wind up in the poor house...

Yep, that's not too flashy if you can build a car that is up to it's stature. That is it is worthy of a near perfect and totally finished car and if the car is only going to be a primered car with a so so interior save it for that perfect car.

love the insert, but I would throw the wing gauges in the trash. I bought a set and had to replace 3 of the gauges already, absolute garbage.

If no one else has said it, now the car has to live up to the instrument panel. The panel and instruments are a work of mechanical art.

I just had to come back stare at it again.
The engine turning that FPM Metals did on it has to be the finest I've seen.
