Any one else running a BBC in a '55 Buick? If so, I need help with what headers you are running. Trying to get away from fabbing my own, need a quick fix. Current ones contact the tie rod on large bumps.
'55 Buick BBC Headers Quick fix. Mattteeee, you know the answer, you just don't like it! wood for the trees... I see some header plates and mandral bends in your future.. if I can do it you can. ( it was the worst part of the job I can tell you..)
Can you modify the ones you have got? - if they are only hitting on large bumps, is it something that some small modification can fix? A relief, slight hammering flat, or even some medium surgery may be a whole lot easier than starting from scratch with some header flanges and a bunch of bends. Just my $0.02. Cheers.
http://www.sandersonheaders.com/San...Full-Length-Header-Set-for-1955-57-Chevy.html Compare the Buick frame to the Chevy. The swept back headers for the /67 Chevell look real good too.
Jay Leno shoved a 572 into his 55 Buick. Maybe one of his pals on the HAMB will clue us in on who fabbed up his headers.
wouldnt tri 5 chevy non-fenderwell headers work? http://www.danchuk.com/Danchuk1.aspx?Category=90fc28f2-df57-478a-8022-78d85bb0475e
I don't want to come across as rude but with 1200+ posts I would have thought that your involvement on here would prevent you from asking a pretty basic question such as this. If you did your research on here and came up with nothing, it's safe to figure it out for yourself and then post it on here for others to reference...a contribution to the site if you will.
Lot of people on here, and the search function ain't great. I will no doubt end up making my own, but was just asking a simple Q, thank you for your input though.....
