Technical "BARS LEAKS" REAR MAIN SEAL REPAIR ... DOES IT WORK?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by mrbthebarber, May 23, 2015.

  1. the caution is that it causes the seal to swell. there's no controlling the amount of swell. depending on your specific situation it might just soften or swell it to the point of eventually pushing out and making it worse. we've seen plenty of cases of trans stop leaks going way past the fix. proceed with caution.

On the contrary, it proved that the stuff did something. As I recall, he asked the class beforehand what they thought would happen, and about half said nothing, just like on this thread. Did he warn us not to put 6 quarts of it in our cars instead of oil? Don't remember, but he probably gave us the benefit of the doubt.

That kind of stuff is only good for guys trying to sell cars on their last leg. It'll mask the problem just long enough for the new owner to get it home.

Just fix it and right and drive it with no worries...
