History Barris Customs Closing

After 60 years Barris Customs is closing and the building is for sale.

It would be nice if she would turn the place into a museum like Darrel starbirds place.

 

Damn...a sad day for sure...when I was teenager, I'd drive up Cahuenga so I could stop by Barris. Most of the cars were covered in dust, as well as the signs, he never cleaned them unless he was going to have a photo shoot. He sure made some cool stuff, I used to watch those shows when I was a kid...Batman...The Monkees...The Munsters Koach, who didn't drool over wanting to drive around in that puppy??? I think he made the Banana Splits mobiles also...he made a lot of movie cars.

Good for him going for so many years!

 

To be clear, according to the story they are selling the building but remaining in business and are moving to another location.
