Well, not really a barn find but then again, most of the "barn finds" I've seen on here weren't really either.... Our buddy, Lil' Toot, is so busy taking care of his Mom, and everyone else, that his poor truck has been mothballed due to a few small, but time consuming issues. We kept offering to help but Toot wouldn't take it. Bulletproof, Whitey and I decided an intervention was in order. Last Saturday we snuck up on him and wouldn't take no for an answer. We got a couple issues worked out with the battery and starter, then found some fuel lines needed to be replaced. It was a good time and good to see the old girl in the light of day again..... I swear the truck was squinting when we first rolled it out...
Great job, its efforts like that and friends like you that make the longest lasting memories. (Besides it sure the hell beats cleaning out the gutters on his house)
way to go guys! did you hear that Sprcheese i'm coming to get that "cornbinder" back on track. quit thinking and get to doing!
Yeah, I've got some great friends. Thanks guys for pushing me to get her outta mothballs. Felt good to see it out in the sun. Looking forward to taking it out this weekend. Gotta do a little clean up first!
Thats awesome way to go guys.. Whenever i need a good kickin to get back on track with the RPU alienwerks is the first to come give it to me.. And iam very greatful for him. Good job guys
Hah-hah! Yeah it did Whitey.... I'm still pretty sure that isn't dust so much as the thing turning albino from being in the cave too long.... Thanks for the kind words guys. This post isn't to brag about what we are finally getting off our arses and getting done, and it certainly is not all my doing. It is to show what I'd nearly forgotten, this whole thing is about helping your brothers out. I owe Pops a bunch for teaching me that. I see the guys who posted above know it too! We need to get some HAMB thrashes going again. And keep them simple this time. Toot, don't forget that tag is past it's prime...
You guys did good. That is what this all used to be about and it is good to see it being done again. GOOD JOB!! Later, Dick
Sweet machine, COOL friends! That seems to be the spirit a ton of HAMBers share. Rodding makes you a brother.
This sounds like some one should have taped it for the Discover channel. LOL!! It was a very kool idea, I bet Toot got a kick out of you guys gang'n up to work on his truck. How could he say no? Happy Trails, Mick
it was classic when that little kid (about 8 years old)came riding up on his bike and said " toot your findly getting your truck going again" the timing was priceless....
Yeah, i've got a current tag for it, just haven't put it on. I'll get it done by the weekend. No Kidding! No way I could say no. Heck, I wasn't home when they arrived. By the time I got there, I found them doing yard work! Ha! yeah, "out of the mouths of babes", or young A-hole in training!
