Sounds like a plan, I’ve found a 39 coupe chassis that was a restored car someone swapped for a modern chassis and I can probably get it all cheap. It’s not the idea flathead but I think for this little roadster it would be good and I can use the rear and three speed

Sounds like a good way to to go. Use the brakes too!! I'm running a stock bore '40 engine in my 32 coupe. It moves down the road just fine.

I picked up a running engine, 3 speed, and rear end from the 39 Coupe today for the Roadster so it’s about time to start putting it together! [IMG]

    Update:

There really aren't any updates other than I found and bought the wheels I'm going to use on it, 32 18" wires out back and 33/34 17" up front. Ive got them blasted waiting on primer and paint. I'm about to get it going so stay tuned for some updates, life is so busy right now I haven't had time to mess with it.

  13. Alright! Your the man! That is going to look awesome.

Did you save the pedal cluster from the 39 chassis? They are a hot item among us `35-36 owners that want to upgrade to juice brakes.(You probably already know that).

I didn’t get it, I’m not sure what he did with it when he pulled everything

Neat car. It’s a nice rust free looking car and I love the green over black paint.

Following the build, are you still going with the pinched 32 frame and running the fenders, aprons and boards?

Thanks Cliff, it is a pretty solid car, especially to have been up north a good bit of its life. The pinched 32 chassis is going under my 31 coupe, the roadster is going back on it’s A frame, no fenders, and going to be left as is except juice brakes and 39 Ford running gear.
