In your photobucket pics. The Oldsmobile pictured is Elbert Stegmier's car ( from Tamaqua Pa). Looks like you picked up the car near Numidia. Would be like being on top of the world for a south Jersey guy. Burns & Yost were sponser of that car. They were running top fuel car at that time.

Congrats on your find. Good Karma coming your way if you get it going like it is with safety in mind. Gives me some incentive to finish mine.

    Good Luck, Pat

Big block Mopar under the hood? That just became my favorite '57 Chevy. :D

Congrats on the awesome score! Looks like it needs to be cleaned up and that's about it. What are the plans?

That's a good score. Would you post some pics of how the engine is mounted. I have a 440 big block Chrysler that I want to drop in my 57 chev wagon.

Extremely cool car. Would love to see those vintage photos as nice quality scans.

I have to say... I get it when people leave these cars covered in dust. It seems a lot of these finds are showing up even at the high end auctions that way.

For me though, I wouldn't have made it home without stopping at the car wash and I think I would have had the buffer running as soon as she dried off.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Cool car. If that thing was running D/G it must weight two tons!

I talked to this guy about two years ago. He told me all about the car. A lot of work and one of parts on this car. They even narrowed the front wheels. Didn't want to get side tracked from my project. And really couldn't come up with the extra money. Lost his number. Really glad someone found it.
