It's definitely drive able with no shocks I drove it like that for months, but it's much more enjoyable with with shocks. For bags I just went basic with the dominator 6" bags

Here's my ride done the exact same way and has been driving just fine since 06'. I'm sure there's many ways to do the same thing but this thread is pretty dead on, bitch N' work buddy...

I have a question... On the stock frontend bagged setup are you guys still using the the stock rear end and closed drive shaft? If not what rear ends fit it in 54 belair? Also how low can you get these cars with the stock frame bag setup?
    Thanks

  11. I used a rear end out of a 2 wheel drive S10 I think it was a 1998 if I remember right. I swapped in a 350 with a 700R4.

I have a rear end out of a 57 Chevy .. Same width as the 54 but open drive shaft to a t5 trans behind a Chevy 250 straight six.

Does anyone have any pics of what their front end looks like with stepped lower A-arms and stock uprights? Preferably with a 6.70x15 tire.

  16. Anyway to bring this thread back from the dead and get the pics in the original post back up?

  18. Yeah, just where the cuts on the top hats are and the lower control arm mods. You can read how to do it a 100 times over, but without seeing it,just helps a little. At least for me anyway. Lol.

  19. And I'm not on Instagram. My wife is..need to figure out how to do 2 accounts with one email address.

Here are pics I barrowed from radfordkustoms .. This gives a good idea of what you have to do.. The last is my lower a arm that I sectioned so the bag clears with no problem .. 5" slams dont ride bad but if you can get them to fit 6" would be better 5" fit niccer
