They're right. Definitely looks better without the pipes. Sits perfect now. Didn't you have a peach colored '55 Chevy before? I remember seeing it around Salinas a few years back. I still have an old issue of Rod & Custom with a feature on your '55, Jim Ward's '56, and a white '57.

 

Ya had the peach 55, sold it and built a 61 Impala, still have it, just added the Mercury a few years ago. The guy I sold the 55 to wrecked it pretty bad, someone in town bought it and is putting it back together.

Wow!!! That´s a killer-looking car! I really like the color. Don´t worry about the side pipes, I think it looks a lot better without, in fact anything looks better the less add-ons there are cluttering the lines of the vehicle itself. IMHO. Sounds like quite a bit of fabbing to get it to sit that low. Well worth it, though. Is the frame in fact resting on the ground?

 

I always thought that car was a perfect mild custom ever since I saw it in some pics creepin through Paso.

 

I think it looks good.
