Looks good brutha...your getting there!
good looking ride...keep up the good work
Loookin' good! Man, I love that color!
start cleaning that garage out for the "cut and polish" party at ur pad! hahaha
You got it brutha....Ill supply garage, beer, tunes and a polisher.... the cut part is by others!
that top looks sweet. I was at Bobs today and he wants to come check out your handy work. you should give him a call when ya get a chance
CJ...any paint updates?? done??!!
so i was staring at my door gaps... and this one was still bugging me.. so OFF with the door and fender! Had to work my hinges a bit.. thats why I had to take the door off..
Its a little better.. i know theyre not perfect.. but im not about to weld in some meat to get them perfect.. back to work..
what exactly did you do to get it to fit better? I'm about to do mine so spill thr tricks!
Look at you go man! is that hinge worn out maybe? Are you going to paint the front end sheetmetal off the car or back on..at this point hang em on saw horses and shoot them off to get all that front cowl in paint too! Do u need me to drive up there?!
im sure its worn a bit.. but i got it to behave again .. i don't think im going to get that crazy and paint with the sheet metal off.. im trying to keep in mind "driver" and in my case here in the desert.. "dirt road driver" So im just going to jamb it and spray! most of my engine compartment is black anyways.. plus i have no reason or desire to "pop" my hood at a show to show off that super rare Chevy short block! Oh yeah, you dont need to drive up here.. because ill be driving to your pad cut n' polish time
well it was pretty close to begin with.... but the adjustment behind the fender was adjusted all the way in the direction i needed it to go.. i just needed a hair more so i removed the door and fender, and drilled out the holes in the body just a bit where the hinge bolts go.. this gave me the little scoot i needed! not sure it was the best way.. but it all bolted back up and worked.. thats all that matters to me
Hahah, so no white inner fenders?? Dude, the 51s a driver w painted firewall/inners n rare small block! lol Ill have the beer cold n polisher ready, now hurry up and paint that thing!
haha no shit huh! cool man, hopefully I'll be rollin' south bound soon!
Final coat of primer.. and wet sanded... next ill spray out all my jambs..
looks good bro..
Looks damned good. Cant wait to see the rest of it painted, man!
this is a great shot! nice work man!
are you doing one piece glass or adding the wing window back . been thinking of 1 piece but not sure
This is the difference between old time hot rodders and street rodders.... this pic sez it all.
I love this thread.
damn that is a cool car. Love the flaked roof. I would love to do something like that with my truck....hmm..keep it up, cant wait to see the finished product.
car looks great man
Hey Boones.. im putting the wing windows back in.. it just looks proportionally correct with them back in...just going to take some work because the hardtops are made out of pot metal.. so i have a pair of sedan wing windows im going to modify. The metal is weldable on those..
BL... you going with silver again on the bottom? If so the green flaked scallops would look good again back on there!! Just a thought!!
