No, not the same car. Project X is a 2 door post, the Macon County car is a hardtop.

Well, several folks have mentioned it (including me), but no one has posted a picture. Here's one of the best movie cars on the cover of my favorite issue of Rod & Custom.
    Off to work.

Great Deathrace2000 reference! Did you know that all the cars from that movie were "customized" by Dean Jeffries? Yes, the very same Dean Jeffries that built the Monkeemobile.

So many good ones in here that we've had already, including Biff Tannen's '46 Ford, the Family Truckster, the Bluesmobile, Christine, the DeLorean time machine. Crispin Glover, the guy who played George McFly bought a Studebaker radio delete plate from me on eBay, and he autographed a copy of the invoice for me. I thought that was pretty cool.

I also thought the reproduction (and a couple real) Tuckers from the movie were pretty sweet, I wouldn't mind having one of those. I think someone on the HAMB has one right now.

The Leslie Special was also way way kool. Read a story about that car a long time ago. Hand built and powered by a Ford 300 six. If anyone's got a pic of that I'd like to have it.

"Dragula"!! Hands down the baddest car to be shot for a show. Who else drives a front engine dragster on the street?! Of course the Munster Mobile is a close second, with that way out induction system..

I really liked that nasty old Corvette and Dennis Hopper was perfect casting. Saw it late one night but never could remember the movies title. Is it "King of the Mountain" or "King of the Hill". I have seen both on this thread. Rusty.

I vote for the Bullit Charger--not because it was that cool, but it had a hubcap dispenser on it somewhere.
