The Grey Willys from "HOT ROD".
With an honourable mention to the 1928 Porter, from the "MY Mother the Car", TV series.
I mean to say, it was his wife's Mother-In-Law.

It's a great story about what happened with the car after the movie.
I understand that it was put up for auction and no one bid on it. It was parked in a back lot at the movie studio for years until a maintenance man bought it and parked it behind his barn for years and that is where the guy who owns it now found it.
    Talk about a Barn find...

Lamborghini Muira (the only stylish car that Lamboghini ever built) bombing through the Alps in the opening title sequence of the original "The Italian Job". Bitchin' machine.

EDIT: man I skipped a couple pages and see others have already mentioned it. Oh well this thing still scares me.

  19. Thank gawd somebody mentioned it... for a relatively modern movie car I thought it was inspired... amazing looking car... Seen it in the flesh, erm tin... erm fibreglass a couple of times and it is even more impressive up close as on screen!

I've been wracking my brains on and off for years trying to remember the name of that film. I saw it as a very small kid and it left a marked impression... I always remember it setting off with a wheelspin that wrinkled up the tarmac like a rug... fantastic~! Thanks for posting this... made my day
