Don't know all the search secrets falcon but your right, how you word your search definitely limits what shows up (thanks for the tip). If that is 60 on that pic I was suckin on nipples. Now I can enjoy it. Thats a beauty you posted by the way and definitely has power to please. Just what the doctor ordered

  9. For the definitive "bad" fat-fendered Ford coupe, you need look no further than our fearless leader's '38:

X38 is winning the hot 36 coupe sweepstakes here! Picture these two as coupes (yes one is a 35).

And of course an all time favorite hot '36 (better in the lime gold version, but I can't find a good pic)

Do yourself a favour and get the book. It's a great take on hot rodding history in Australia, 'nostalgia plus', and includes the links back to the US of A where kids of yesterday first saw HOTROD Magazine, or first saw an Aussie based Hotrod

Well written and edited by Graham Smith a former GM employee and celebrated automotive writer down under !

Man there are a ton of bad looking, sounding and running coupes in general.
Ryan's 38 was one of the first cars that came to my own mind when talking "bad" fat fendered coupes though.
I personally love the overall look.

The chopped red 36 is slicker than shit though!! VERY nice car all the way around.

  24. I just spoke with the owner/ builder. The driveline is pretty straight forward, 383 SBC, TH350 and 9." Dropped beam and monoleaf in front, rear chassis rails swept up. Body is the one I showed and had plenty of EMS panels etc. used to make it good.

Originally dynoed at the 500hp mark but has since been de-tuned. The owner still has the chopped 32 5W he has driven and raced (a lot) for decades, so he's quite familiar with horsepower.

Do you want to buy it was his first question.:D

    Hope this helps a little.

LOL , just like hot rod style 36's with a healthy drive train.....this one appears to be well thought out and executed.....it could have an influence my own 36 project....

Here's my BOSS 429 powered 34, 5 window i built back in 1992. It originally had 2-4's. I made this intake out of a tunnel ram so I could use 4 Rochesters. has a C-6, and a Franklin quick change. This picture is about two years ago.
