Backing plate id and help needed.

    I don't know shit about thses things.Think they are the later type??
    It's all i have so not sure what excatly is missing.Can i get the rest Repro or am i better off starting again? Cheers

    '41 to '48 Ford. They look like they'll clean up.
     
  4. Since there are no adjusters at the bottom the backing plates are post war, 1946-48. I don't know enough about war time production to say what occured during that period. If that is all you have you might find it less expensive to by another set with all of the parts attached but it all depends upon what you run into.     All parts are available except maybe the clips that hold the shoes to the backing plates. They go in the slots at 3 and 9 o'clock. You can drill some holes and use modern clips if all else fails.
