Would have loved to have been there. Thanks to those who posted pics.

  3. Yeah... I literally ran into him on Friday evening... then "Millner" signed my friends car on Saturday... that was way more than enough "celebrity encounters" for me for the weekend.

Another irony... a guy at Marcy's t-shirt stand (forget his name) and I were yakking about the Oscar-Meyer Weinermobile... two hours later one passed us going the opposite direction on Hwy-29 heading back home... I was laughing my ass off. :)

I would bet the attendance was lower then other years...and couldn't have asked for better weather! My Father-in-law and his Brother-in-law both have 51 Chevy deluxe 2 doors in there, one red, one black, mine will be green once complete...I can't wait!!!!

We were there for Saturday and Sunday and you all posted cars I never saw...amazing isn't it?

Here are 2 pics I did not see in the thread...They amused me and wanted to share...

drove all night to get back home...sure glad i did.severe thunderstorms and hail so far today.we would have driven right into that.
you all have some great pics.couldn't have had a better time..such a laid back place, for so many people there.
met some HUGE people from the hamb...meaning celebrities.awesome meeting all of you.
POVERTY FLATS....i felt like i was in the presence of greatness.that was way more exciting than bumping into duane, which i didn't.

Here's a few I took at registration on Thursday. Probably took about 600 pictures over the weekend. Will try to post more as the week goes on.

  12. It was great meeting you and your wife too. The car's beautiful too. Glad you missed the storm. The hails not good even for heavy guage round sheet metal. :( Glad 50's was all it's cracked up to be. We love it but we are biased around here. Poverty is a great guy. 'nother Kansas boy.
Look forward to seeing you next year and around at other shows.
    Mark:)
